A seed has been planted, & an opportunity has risen to go to Kenya this year, to sing & share the light of the Lord w/hundreds of orphins/widows & more in need. I thank all of you, & pray that you may hold dreams as rich as mine, to continually reach out, & attempt to strengthen the hearts of all beleivers, along with inviting hope & faith, to the lost, yet seen. Notice, the “Clean air act”, still allows people to smoke inside of their apartments, & Affect the health & safety of all around them. Thousands, to millions of people in our communities, Breath in second hand smoke, directly. Now this is inspired, by living in low-income housing communities, where 60 to 100% of the people living in them, have several different types of learning disabilities, which affect their understanding & awareness, in what’s going on around them. Most are unaware, & their thinking permits them from recognizing the major health risks they are in. Would you speak for them? If it was your loved one? We are not alone in this community, & we can either choose to care, & help our fellow, or choose to ignore Unfortunately, and fortunately, many of us here, at the Lorna Doone complexes, have been placed in an extremely hazardous situation regarding our health, and it has endured tremendous civil action, inviting our community to be aware of only a few of the dangers, in what is an everyday hobby for some, affecting the health and safety of millions of lives; SECOND HAND SMOKE. (This is only one of thousands) My biggest question is, is what has to happen, to bring this topic up to the front of discussion, for all Americans, to recognize how we can save millions of lives?? Please note one major fact here in these HUD units; Anywhere from 50-100% of the residents, cannot make simple choices for themselves, because of medically proven diagnoses of several thinking & learning disorders. In other words, many residents have no idea that their breathing in second hand smoke daily, some don't even know what it means. When we look at it from the outside, it really makes us look like a pretty careless culture, where humanity is dead. I know we live in a place greater than that, it shouldn't have to be a complex manner; Sharing, & treating each other with expanded respect and dignity, in efforts to keep a strong, productive, & balanced society, recognizing all truth, and growth in mankind. I do not have anything against "A smoker", we all have our personal hobbies. But, when our personal hobby, affects the health & safety of millions of others, and it's a guarantee to threaten lives, it's a SHARED HOBBY. One last thing; Most of these buildings that are granted to the folks of low-income & disabilities, are at least 50, to more than 100 years old, & do not have the concrete, & secure moldings that most new buildings have to protect the drafts. We are grateful for them, (at least I am), but there is still no protection from second hand smoke, & again, it is LETHAL. No matter what, second hand smoke flows through the cracks in the doors, weakening thresholds in the floors, and well traveled through the vents, where anywhere from 2 to 100 residents will abide.

I think of how many people are homeless, & out of jobs, & of course it makes me sad. My goals & dreams lie in visions of bringing people together through work, but only existing behind the reasoning for the work; WE ARE ALL LEARNING, PRACTICING, FAILING, SUCCEEDING, & TEACHING based off of the Lord's good word. Yeah , I know, it's a far reach to create the miricles of America, but why should I think God is any smaller than the gifts, inspirations, & blessings he sends through me? In ultimate reality, that is all I have.
Sure, I can say, "Well, it is terrible that so many people are out of work & schooling, & there are so many spending trillions of dollars on houses for two, that could house hundreds, & cars, boats, clothes, & a chance to be famous, it makes me angry", and it does. But as I learn & grow each day, I realize that God does not limit my heart & mind with his love. If I die thinking, & pusuing the example the Lord sets in me, I think I'll be OK. He knows Lenny is my name, as he knows yours. But, let's just say, our hearts & minds motives, stands before all; Does the brother down the street grade you? Or does God.
